Education is central to the mission of the Catholic Church and Catholic Education has existed in the UK for hundreds of years. Our school was first set up by Elizabeth Prout and the Sisters of the Cross and Passion in the 1850s and faith is firmly rooted in all that we do.
With the teachings of Jesus Christ at the heart of our Mission, we aim to inspire all our pupils to live life in all its fullness.
The Catholic life of our school permeates through all that we do but encompasses these key aspects; Religious Education, Collective Worship, Relationships and Sex Education, Spiritual and Moral Development and the development of Gospel and British Values. For more information on any of these areas, please visit the relevant sections on the website.

“Becoming the Church we are called to be.”
The Archdiocese of Liverpool are currently on a journey towards a large gathering of members of our Archdiocese Community. At the Synod, different matters will be discussed and voted upon to help form the present and future of the Catholic Community in our local area.
Each Parish is represented by parishioners nominated by Parish groups to gather information and feedback to Synod Officials as well as feeding back developments to their own Parish.
Schools are involved as they are a vital part in Faith formation for the children of the Archdiocese.
We are fortunate that Mrs Volynchook, our RE, RSE and Collective Worship Lead Teacher, is a member of the Synod, not only representing the Parish of where she lives, but representing the views of our school community also.
Our Year 5 and 6 pupils have been involved in listening and discernment sessions, exploring different themes and sharing their own views and opinions.
